The Not So Fairness Doctrine.

As soon as I heard about this thing called "The Fairness Doctrine" I knew right away that it was wrong. If you don't know what the Fairness Doctrine entails then please let me inform you.

The Fairness Doctrine was introduced in the U.S. in 1949 (Report on Editorializing by Broadcast Licensees, 13 F.C.C. 1246 [1949]). The doctrine remained a matter of general policy, and was applied on a case-by-case basis until 1967, when certain provisions of the doctrine were incorporated into FCC regulations. It did not require equal time for opposing views, but required that contrasting viewpoints be presented. The Fairness Doctrine had two basic elements: It required broadcasters to devote some of their airtime to discussing controversial matters of public interest, and to air contrasting views regarding those matters. Stations were given wide latitude as to how to provide contrasting views: It could be done through news segments, public affairs shows or editorials.

Basically, The Fairness Doctrine gives 100% control to the Government on which news will be broadcasted and how it will be broadcasted. On every Conservative radio and talk shows Left-wing Liberal's will be put there with them to even the playing field. When a majority of Conservative radio and talk shows have Liberals on there to discuss there views with. I guess Liberals don't ever watch Fox News, oh well of course not because Fox News is not 100% biased like MSNBC, CNN, NBC, and many others. Thank God that Congressmen Mike Pence and Senator Norm Coleman have a taken strong stance against the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" and have introduced the Broadcaster Freedom Act, which would permanently prohibit the FCC or any future President from reinstating the so-called "Fairness Doctrine".

If the "Fairness Doctrine" is reinstated then eventually all Christian and Conservative view points will be disposed of. To take a stand against this so called "Fairness Doctrine" go to: https://www.aclj.org/Petition/Default.aspx?sc=3293&ac=1
and sign the petition to make sure this doesn't pass.

In God we trust,
Joshua
